Singing- mb

We visited our Karen friends today and the girls suddenly began to
perform for us. Sofia was buzzing around on a scooter inside the
house, and the other girls were doing some sort of Karen/american idol
type performance. It's fun that they know some of the same songs now.
Here they are doing a camp rock number. :)

Mia's animal poem- mb

MIA brought an "animal" to school for special day today. It's actually
a cute monster type creature that she brought. They had to write a
poem and just in case you have a hard time reading it (like I did)
here is what she wrote.

"my animal is purple and he has yellow eyes and he's pretty funny
lookin' ."

Winter Jam

I just wanted to spread the word about this awesome concert here this weekend. I'm working on finding a babysitter for Charly and Bazzy so I can take the older girls (Kris is on call. bummer.) and I'm HOPING to take some of the girls from the Refugee family we sponsored 2 years ago. I know they would love it and it's WAY more affordable than most concerts. Very cool.

If you're thinking about going...let me know! It would be fun to meet up. Hopefully I will find a babysitter!!!

Lots of shots- mb

I was able to go to dr. With mom and 2 of the kids from our new
refugee family yesterday. Baz got to play with his friends and go to
moms group, and charly came with me. It was so interesting to hear
more about their past and be a support to them in a new a scary place.
The daughter had to have seven shots! Poor poor girl! The boy only had
four, but it broke my heart just like it does with my own kids when
they get shots. They were way braver than I would have been! Charlotte
was a good distraction. :)

MIA is better and we were able to visit our new Karen friends again
today. Charlotte loved being carried around again and baz loved that
the oldest daughter was wearing a lightning mcqueen shirt. He actually
gasped when she unzipped her coat and he saw it. She couldn't quite
figure out why he liked it so much. :) he also enjoyed the gum,
powdered donuts, cookies, almond joy bars, apples, and strawberry
crush soda they gave him. Go figure! They have obviously discovered
the joys of American snackfoods and hopefully they are using all the
toothbrushes we gave them. ;)

This is definitely NOT what little Mia looks like today. She has had a high fever and bad cough for 2 days now. She looks SO sad and worn down. Breaks my heart! I had so many things I needed to do these past 2 days, but now we're trapped in the house. I guess I'll focus on the positive and try to get some stuff down in the house instead. This is actually an "easy" illness, from a Mommy stand-point...cuz there's no throwing up or other issues. She's just tired. Very very tired. Poor thing. Hopefully this is the end of this little bug and I can regain society again tomorrow. We'll see....

I just can't seem to find the time to sit down and upload the gazillion pictures we took on vacation. Go figure. So for the time being...here a few~ just for fun. I PROMISE I will find the time someday to get many more on here for all to see. :)

Team Phineas....

... is back home. We are totally exhausted! I had hopes to get a bunch of pictures up tonight and start the mounds of laundry and unpacking from the trip, but I'm too tired. Sleep is pretty much the only option right now.
We had a GREAT trip! It was wonderful to spend time together and just have FUN!
I promise I will have a million pictures to share (I only took 1400. Really.) very soon and I can't wait to catch up with you all! I miss you already family and I know you are excited to see pictures too!

We made it back to the magic kingdom one last time to eat and watch
fireworks. We had such a great time with my family at epcot, and even
though we are exhausted, we're not quite ready to come back yet. How
does a week go so fast???

We're off...

Most everything is packed for the seven of us (and I do mean most everything!) and all our little princesses and our pirate are VERY excited! It will be a miracle if any of them sleep tonight, but I'm praying that they do because we have to be up at 4am tomorrow to get to the airport. Fun, right? I'll be posting pictures for my family from Disney for anyone who wants to check in.
I'm sure it will be a fun week and I'm SO excited to celebrate my Dad being CANCER FREE! TTFN!
