Jess recently took a bunch of bracelet supplies to Haiti for me so the women can continue to create. She is staying at RHFH for a couple months and will be blogging while she is there. Obviously Haiti is a big part of our lives. I saw this video after the earthquake and just watched it again. Not only does it have an amazing message, but it has some of my absolute favorite artists in it! What if we ALL came together to make a difference. Think of the changes that could occur. I want so many people to experience Haiti and have it become a part of their hearts.

We Built Sioux City

We had a great weekend at Tulip festival! Besides lots of parade fun, yummy Dutch food, and good times with family...we also learned about an amazing new video that was produced by the Sioux City, Iowa tourism board to promote the lovely city that is Sioux City. This video has been made fun of on You Tube news and Comedy Central~ but it's pretty clever, in an annoying you-can't-ever-get-it-out-of-your-head kinda way. Enjoy the wonder that is We Built Sioux City!

I truly apologize for not blogging lately.
This week has been INSANE! We are:
*getting ready for 3 kids to participate in their variety show at school Friday.
*preparing for Tulip festival this weekend.
*planning a goodbye party for one of my bestest friends (sniff.)
*Designing a costume for our 5th grader for theater performance.
*T-ball practices and games.
*Looking after five kids.
*Everything else that normally happens during the week.

Hoping next week will be calmer.
Here's to hoping....

My wonderful friend Shawn Finch (who is also our wonderful Veteranarian!) wrote an article about Artists For Hope and it is now published on Omaha.net. To say I'm a little excited about this would be a HUGE understatement. I'm SO crazy excited!!! Hoping this will let lots and lots of new people know about our hearts for Haiti!
