Thank you EMI

When Kris and I were in Haiti in April we learned a lot about the team that would be coming to help plan the new spaces for RHFH in Haiti. They purchased land this year that will become the new Rescue Center and Hospital in Cazale. This has been their dream for many many years. They want to be able to provide people in the mountains of Haiti with the medical care and help that they so desperately need. This team comes out to remote locations to help plan dreams like these for Non-profits around the world. Kris was able to give them some help with ideas for x-ray options in the new building and the thought of them having actual equiptment to help people in Cazale is just too exciting for words!!! We take things like x-rays, doctors, pain meds, etc. for granted every day. Experiencing places like Cazale and the Rescue Center and Clinic, and seeing people waiting in line over night (outside!) just to see the nurse make you really appreciate those extra blessings that we have!

They asked people to send in pictures with THANK YOU on them today who have some connection with RHFH, to thank the EMI team for all they have done this week. It's fun to think of all the people who have visited or help in one way or another sending in their pictures and Thanks to this wonderful team who is making RHFH's dreams come true. You can read more about the team here. SO exciting!!!

Oh Charlotte

My sweet girl can sleep anywhere when she is worn out. The older kids
have come to love this and love to get pictures of her sleeping in
funny places.

The top of the stairs is definitely a new one! Sofia came to tell me
she was playing on the floor there and just fell asleep. We will have
a great book of sleeping Charlotte pictures to treasure someday!

Happy 7th Birthday Mia

Even in a completely different state, at my wonderful friend Amy's new
house, we were able to decorate the door for Mia's birthday morning.
My friends helped and I know Mia is going to lose her little mind in
the morning when she wakes up and realizes door decorating can happen
anywhere when it's your birthday!!! :0)

Baz's Royals Night

Baz's T-ball league had a special night at Rosenblatt Stadium where all the players got to attend the game and even walk out on the field before it started.

We actually went out a little early...cuz some other kids were also out there, and took a few pictures. Shortly after we were not-so-nicely asked to leave the field area. SO glad we got these before we were asked to go back behind the gate. ;)

Happy Baz out on the field.

I have no idea why he was leaping, but happy I caught this moment. I think it was a true leap of joy. :0)

Kris stayed with Sebastian so they could do the Parade of Players. I went with the girls to sit in our seats and get pictures. Can you see Bazzy on the screen? He's in the blue shirt in the left side of the screen in the middle. He looked SO proud to be out there.

Walking with Daddy...

High five!

Kris picked him up so he could see us in the stands.

Katryna hoped the entire game that she would catch a foul ball. No luck...but we had such a blast it didn't matter. Thankful for this special night for my favorite little boy!

I'm In Haitian Crafty Heaven

I'll post more about this all later, but my table is covered in what
is the official beginning of the Artists For Hope Art Co-op. It came
this week from Haiti via a lady from WA. So fun to see all the
possibilities!!!

Amonise

I don't know why little Amonise captured by heart while Kris and I were in Haiti...but she definitely did! The first day we were there, Anna and I did weigh-ins on all the kids and this little munchkin weighed nothing when I picked her up. I placed her on the scale and she weighed a whopping 6 pounds. This wouldn't have been too bad if she was a newborn, but she was 5-6 months old.

Mouse lemur toes Pictures, Images and Photos

I lovingly called her "Mouse Lemur" all week. I think mouse lemurs are one of the cutest animals on the planet and her big eyes just melted me. Such a cutie!

This is what she looked like while we were in Haiti in April.

She had Kwashiorkor when she came into the RC. It's very rare for such young babies to have Kwash, but when we were there she had lost all of the water weight and was just literally skin and bones. I stroked her little bony legs whenever she was laying in my lap and hoped and prayed she would fight her way through this.

Seriously...isn't she just the cutest???

A lady named Bekki emailed me after Lori talked to her about bringing some supplies back and forth to Haiti for us. In one of our last emails I asked if she had gotten any pictures of my little Mouse Lemur while she was in Haiti last week. This morning I got these...

Doesn't she look good!?! Her little thighs look chubby and her eyes look so much brighter. I totally teared up when I saw these.

Her little eyes don't even look as big, which is such a great thing cuz that means she is gaining weight just like she is supposed to! THIS is what the Rescue Center does and why I love them so much. What would have happened to Amonise if they weren't there? I'm guessing she wouldn't be here...

I also got a little video from Bekki of Amonise and I SO wish I could figure out how to post it. She is rolling on the floor and wearing one of the diapers our Mom's group made. SO adorable!

This made my heart smile today and made me even more thankful for Lori and Licia and their families and the RC. This also made me extremely thankful to God for healing her and bringing her somewhere that could help her. I can't wait to see her continue to grow!
